Winthrop Pilot Board of Directors

• Gerry Wardwell – Retired WCVB assistant news director; former producer and reporter at outlets that include WGBH in Boston and CNN in Atlanta, graduate of Emerson College (Board president).
• Elizabeth Pufall Jones – Native of Massachusetts, graduate of Smith College, PhD in applied child development from Tufts University, experience in education and workforce policy and research (Board vice president).
• Carina Campobasso – 25-year resident of Winthrop and retired lawyer active with Mothers Out Front Winthrop, an organization fighting for a livable planet for our children (Board treasurer).
• Leonora (Lee) Foley – Native of Winthrop, Master of arts in law and diplomacy at Tufts University, 25 years in emergency relief programs and conflict resolution in Africa (Board secretary.)
• Brian Martynowicz – Winthrop-based technology professional, founder of Winthrop Voters site on Facebook, former historic commissioner in Chelsea.
• Richard Schroeder – Former reporter and editor at three daily newspapers and retired founder of leading financial planning/investment management company in upstate New York.
• Paul Basken – Boston-area native, graduate of UMass-Amherst, career journalist based in Winthrop after coverage including UPI and Bloomberg in Washington, DC, and abroad.
• Jack Witthaus – Former transportation and land use professional planner/engineering manager, with career in municipal and regional government and private consulting in California and Massachusetts.
• Jarrod Wardwell – Winthrop-raised breaking news reporter at the Houston Chronicle, former Connecticut Post reporter, graduate of George Washington University.
